FAQ

Frequently Asked
Questions

Most of what you may be wondering is probably here.

What if I do not know my birth time?+

Your Sun and Moon signs are still calculated correctly. The Rising sign and house placements depend on birth time, so they are marked as approximate when you do not know it. You can still calculate your chart for a general reading.

Is this medical or psychological advice?+

No. Aura Astrology content is a tool for awareness and self-reflection; it is not a clinical diagnosis, a treatment recommendation, or a substitute for therapy. For any serious health or psychological matter, please consult a professional.

Why do different astrology sites say different things?+

Interpretation methods (Western or Vedic astrology, the house system used, which planets are prioritized) differ from site to site. Aura Astrology uses its own method that combines Jungian archetypes with natal astrology; see the About page.

How is my data stored?+

The birth chart is calculated in your browser, and your birth details are not saved in a database on our servers. Only a city name we do not recognize is sent to our server to look up its coordinates. See the privacy notice for details.

What do the energy bars mean?+

The intuition, clarity, vitality, and harmony bars in the daily reading are a symbolic emphasis scale for the day’s astrological theme. They are not a scientific measurement; they are a quick visual summary of the day’s mood.

How is the content produced, and who writes it?+

Daily readings are drawn from texts written specifically for each sign within a hand-built astrological and archetypal framework, and chosen by the date. The English edition is an adaptation of our Turkish content, prepared by the Aura editorial team with AI-assisted tools.

How accurate is the birth chart calculator?+

Planet positions are computed from astronomical algorithms, so the Sun, Moon, and planet signs are reliable. The Rising sign and houses depend on an accurate birth time and city. We use the city’s standard time zone, so subtract an hour if you were born during daylight saving time.
